The current Microsoft operating system is Windows 10.
There are three ways to get a Windows 10 system.
- Using the remote desktop service from the ZDV.
- Operating your own virtual machine.
- Installation on a local hard drive.
For the first option you only need a JGU account. Option 2 and 3 require a valid Windows 10 license.
If you have a valid Windows 10 upgradebase license ( Windows 98SE or newer). It is possible to order a Windows 10 education edition from the ZDV for you. If not, we can order it with a upgradebase license for 27€.
