Tools for Physicists / Werkzeuge für Physiker 2019

Currently, HIM and KPH offer several seminars to demonstrate various software and tools that are very helpful in the daily work of the institutes. If you are interested, please register one week in advance, as popular courses like the Mathematica lecture, held by Dr. Michael Distler, have no room for further participants.

Further information on the seminars, registrations and organizational matters can be found at:

Mathematica

Since March 2016 unlimited Mathematica licenses are available for students and members of the Nuclear Physics and Physics Institutes.

For your work at the institute you should connect your Mathematica version with the new license server: Winlicense-04.zdv.uni-mainz.de

For registered users the latest Mathematica versions for Windows, Linux and Mac can be downloaded via the Wolfram User Portal.

In addition, you can apply for a standalone (home-use) version for 1 year, which will be extended every year, as long as our contract with Wolfram Research is active. After registration and proof of eligibility, Wolfram sends you an email with links to download the latest Mathematica versions for Windows, Linux and Mac together with your personal Activation key.

Please use the following links to apply for the standalone licence and to download the binaries:
